The contractor sent email saying they'd like to install my countertops, etc. next Tuesday. I'll be out of town--it's the week of the big agricultural show in my home town, and I'm once again setting up a booth for the office. (Last year's blog entry on the show) I leave from the office Monday after a conference call ends, and the show runs Tuesday through Thursday.

But sister-in-law has promised to shut the cats up in the guest bedroom (chosen as the room most like to provide deep dark hiding spots for Agatha) and let them in, and this way if the plumber doesn't make it on the same day the counter fabricators do, I won't be there sans a working toilet. I must add "remove all items from bathroom cabinets and floors" to the weekend to-do list.

How nice it will be to come home to new sinks, toilets, faucets, and countertops!

There are two new toilets sitting in my garage, ready to be installed. Well, there are two large boxes, anyway--we'll assume they actually do contain toilets. And I'm reassured that one box is larger than the other, as the master bath toilet has too be very short back-to-front to allow the door to close. The guest bath has more room.

Don't know the status of the sinks and faucets, and I assume the fabricators are still working on (or waiting for) the Corian.
